"Thanks for the licorice" from troops in Afghanistan

Packages of licorice are encouraging the troops in Afghanistan.  Through Licorice International's unique program called "Treats for the Troops," licorice lovers can send a shipment of Kenny's Licorice Twists to men and women serving in the Armed Forces. For more information on the program, click here.

We recently received a thank you from troops in Afghanistan, including these great photos of soldiers enjoying licorice:

Dear Licorice Ladies,
I want to thank you for taking the time to send some licorice to my soldiers here in Afghanistan. As you can see the licorice brought a smile to every soldiers face that received the licorice. You ladies are great Americans who support and remember that daily our soldiers sacrifice their lives, bodies, and time with their families to keep our borders safe and secure. These particular soldiers that you see in the pictures are doctors, nurses, or medics that care for the wounded soldiers at our Forward Surgical Support hospital. They will work for hours on end to ensure that the wounded are take care of and that they receive the best care possible. God bless each and every one of you who contributed to sending the licorice and most importantly letting the soldiers know that Americans love them enough to take time out of their day to support them. God Bless!
Chaplain (CPT) Ice, Timothy of 426 Brigade Support Battalion of the 101st screaming eagles.
